Laid down. Tears around all the edges. Paper slightly dirty, but otherwise good, strong and fresh.

This would seem to be a typical example of the type of very complete drawing by Hoogstraten that Sumowski classifies under the heading "Painterly Sheets." Other such works are in London, Hamburg, Vienna, Copenhagen and elsewhere.1
