Condition

STRUCTURE This picture is relined and in good condition with clear colouring throughout. There are no signs of craquelure and the paint surface appears to be stable throughout. Although there are areas where the paint surface is a little thin this is only visible upon close inspection and may partly be the artist's working method. The picture is clean and ready to hang. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are minor flecked infillings, particularly in the sky. These retouchings are not excessive and have been well executed. FRAME The picture is contained in a moulded composite frame.
