This picture is relined
PAINT SURFACE
The paint surface is sound with rich colouring and fine detail throughout. The paint surface appears to be stable throughout and there is some craquelure to the sky and fine craquelure scattered in other areas. The picture may benefit from a light clean.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There are flecked retouchings in the water at the lower left and a line of retouching along the top of the headland and along the upper edge

This picture is contained in a later moulded Victorian-style frame.
