Condition
Original canvas has been restreched and has a slight tear to front, upper left corner. Impression of stretcher is visible to the front, and some frame abrasion to the lower edge. Some small specks of paint loss to the lower right corner, and to the figure's ear, with craquelure throughout the work. Ultraviolet light reveals a spot of retouching below the figure's right arm, and part of the signature has been heightened. Held in a simple, black-painted, composite frame.
