Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light through an uneven varnish, notably to the upper right and upper centre. Apart from scattered craquelure, this work is in good condition, with fine detail and rich tones. Held in a decorative, gold-painted, striated moulded plaster and wood frame.
