Condition
Original Canvas. Spots of craquelure and surface dirt throughout the work, and would benefit from a light clean. A few small paint flecks to the centre of the work (most noticable to the cabinet and to the ). Ultraviolet light reveals a scattering of retouching to the ceiling, the area surrounding the figures, and elsewhere. Held in a simple, gold-painted, composite frame.
