Condition

There is a section of chipped paint to the upper left corner, the upper right edge, and to the centre of the left edge. The edges of the work are slightly worn. There are some inconsistencies to the paint surface within the black sections of the bird, this may have been caused by blooming. The canvas is slightly sagging. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a professional clean. The work is presented unframed. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
