Description
- height of tea canister 5 1/2 in.
- 14 cm
the cup painted with huntsmen in pursuit of two stags and the saucer with the huntsmen assembled at the death of the fox, each with a flower garland border. Some restoration. Together with a Chinese Export tea canister and cover, circa 1790, painted on each side with a European gentleman standing on a rocky promontory beside a tall pagoda, raising his gun to a bird flying above a ship. Cover restored. 2 pieces.
Condition
Tea cup and saucer:
Saucer has a less than 1/2 in. restored rim chip and a 1/4 in. haircrack to the rim. Tea cup has several small restored rim chips and a crack around the top of the handle.
Tea canister and cover:
The cover has restoration extending half the way around the rim, presumably covering small chips. The tea canister has a 3/4 in. section of restoration to the rim.
