Description
- diameters 8 7/8 in.
- 22.8 cm
the first of circular form, painted with the arms of Grant, within a grisaille diaper border on the cavetto within three flower sprays and the crest of a burning hill on the rim; the second of octagonal form, painted with the arms of Lindsay of Payetston within a spearhead band and famille-rose flower sprays on the rim. The first with a small chip underneath the rim.

Condition
The arms of Grant plate has a minor 1/4-inch shallow chip to the underside of the rim at 10 o'clock and some very minor occasional wear to the gilding of the arms. The arms of Lindsay plate has several very minor frit/chips along an approximate 1-inch section of the rim edge at 4 o'clock and some further very minor fritting at 2 o'clock. Otherwise both are in good condition.
