Description

  • height of pair 7 1/2 in.
  • 19 cm
of European silver shape, painted with colorful abstract patterned borders and trellis panels. Together with a Chinese Export candlestick, circa 1785, of similar shape, painted with flower sprays and leaf scrolls. Repaired. 3 pieces.

Condition

Pair of candlesticks: Both in good condition, one has a very shallow 1/4 in. chip to the edge of the base, this one also has a 1/8 in. glaze flake to the green enamel on the shoulder. Single candlestick: The candlestick has been broken beneath the candle holder and through the lower part of the stem and poorly restored back together. The base has been broken into two pieces and glued back together. There is also a 1/2 in. crack to the candle holder.
