Description

  • on three feet, the center engraved with accolée armorials below a helmet

  • Diam. 31cm
  • 12 1/4 in diameter
reposant sur trois pieds, le centre gravé d'armoiries d'alliance timbrées d'un heaume

Condition

In overall good condition. Usual scratches. Below the centre, a circular piece with four oval spaces is applied. Legible marks and assay scrape, some wear to marks Very nice quality and very nice engraving. It is thought that the piece of silver soldered to the back is not evidence of a previous central foot as might be supposed but a way of strenghening the metal to take the pressure of the deep armorial engraving
