Description
of rectangular form, each beam comprised of two planks joined together, carved to the front in bold relief with a monumental frieze of lobed arches enclosing plaited Kufic inscriptions alternating with smaller arches enclosing paired split-palmettes surmounted by palmette-form finials, the interstices carved en suite with further palmettes, split-palmettes and scrolls, bordered above by a narrow band of quatrefoils

Condition
The surface has been exposed to the elements, there are areas where the wood is fragile and crumbling, unvarnished, some horizontal hairline cracks and splits to the surface, some paler areas, possibly where the wood has been treated, as viewed.
