Description

of squat globular form with blue ringed rim, the body moulded with a lattice of interlocking polygons, with an arcade of petals above and below, the base double ringed with a central floral rosette surrounding the pontil 

Condition

2 minor hairline cracks and one chip to base, overall good condition, as viewed.

A globular flask with a similar moulded design is in the Khalili Collection (Goldstein 2005, p.108, no.125) and may have been made by the same workshop as the current lot.
