- An Agra carpet
- approximately 456 by 416cm., 15ft. by 13ft. 8in.
Condition
outer guards reduced and reovercast, warp fringes overlaid with inserted fringe, good pile overall, generally approximately 4-5mm deep with some oxidisation in light walnut; area of low pile with some knot bars visible, central section of right hand border with two small patches of Kashmiri repiling and small cobbled repairs, reweave in upper right hand quarter of field approximately 15 by 7 cm., perhaps half a dozen small (c. 4 by 1.5cm) reweaves scattered elsewhere, some old moth trails just visible in centre (not extensive), overall in very good condition for age.
