of baluster form, the ovoid body resting on a splayed foot with tall flaring mouth, the shoulder and upper neck joined by pierced faceted handles, decorated with cobalt and copper lustre on a cream ground, with horizontal registers of alternating vine leaves and rosettes divided by cobalt borders, with solid lustre bands to mouth, foot and shoulder

A nineteenth-century vase of similar form and decorated in lustre, produced by the Ginori factory in Italy, is in the Museo delle Porcellane di Doccia (inv.7379/251) and is illustrated in Eredità dell'Islam: Arte islamica in Italia, Venice, p.485, no.302.
