some hairline cracks from rim, some minor losses on rim, base and handle, colours in good condition, overall good condition, as viewed.

Catalogue Note

The boats depicted are single-masted Mediterranean coasters with their distinctive triangular lateen sail. Such vessels were a familiar sight in Ottoman waters during the sixteenth century.
