Description
the tapered steel barrel clasped to the forestock by four chased silver bands, the forestock inlaid with silver palmette motifs set with coral along its length, inlaid-silver lattice designs to the underside, an applied and raised silver mount to the lock-plate, the stock further inlaid with silver foliate scrolls, split palmettes, coral studs and teardrops, the butt with gilt-copper and coral-studded mount
Condition
Some losses to the coral studs, particularly beneath the breech where they have been restored, silver inlay mostly complete, minor losses towards the end of the forestock, as viewed.
