Description
the slightly curved blade of watered steel with a floral motif in silver inlay along the back edge of the forte, subtle single-line gold overlay to the sides, the steel hilt with baluster grip elongated at the forte with an openwork palmette at its tip, double swan-neck knuckle guard, decorated throughout with a dense foliate ground, the pommel surmounted with an openwork loop
Condition
some losses to gold overlay around the pommel rim, quillon ends and knuckle-guard associated with age, blade in very good condition, with some very minor bumps and chips along the edge, as viewed.
