Description
the slender tapering watered-steel blade with floral scrolls overlaid in gold to the forte, the jade hilt with a filigree band at the base and corresponding mount housing a red stone to the pommel; the steel blade with watered patterning, the ivory hilt with rounded pommel and carved floral motifs, Ottoman gilded scabbard with palmette scrolls and trellis decoration; the straight steel blade, gold overlaid at the forte, with amber-coloured glass hilt and velvet-covered scabbard with silver chain decoration; the curved steel blade with gold palmette design to the forte, pale stone baluster-form hilt with vertical flutes
Condition
All in good overall condition, the first with minor losses to gold overlay at the forte, the second with some small dents to the regilded scabbard and two long hairline cracks to the hilt, the third with some rubbing to the gold overlay at the forte, the fourth with replacement leaf and finial to the pommel, as viewed
