Three Mughal Daggers, India, circa 18th century

the khanjar with slightly curved and double-sided steel blade, with a hilt of mottled black and white stone, pistol grip and rounded pommel, with leather-covered wooden scabbard; the curved watered-steel blade with a hilt of pale green stone, baluster-form grip, carved with a dense foliate ground; the long slender blade with a thin green hilt with scroll quillons, carved with floral motifs 

The first with well-used blade with light scoring and pitting overall, the point nicked and rounded, the hilt with wear and accretion overall, the scabbard with well worn tooled leather with splits, stains, losses, and some recent gluing to the wood frame; the second with blade secured with modern glue, the jade with some fritting at the hilt and some flaws overall, no breaks or restoration to the jade; the third with slightly tarnished and pitted blade, the jade with some fritting at the hilt and worn with handling, as viewed.
