Condition
Original canvas. Some minor craquelure in the sky, slight imprint of the stretcher in the upper part of the canvas. There is one retouch in the sky left of the tower. Some retouches in the boat to the right and the carriage on the quai. The canvas has been set on to a new stretcher. Oterwise in good condition.

The critic Albert Plasschaert of De Amsterdammer, who lived in Zeeland, visited the exhibition in Veere in 1916 and called Wolter's 'View of Veere' one of the strongest paintings of the exposition.
