Condition

This photograph, with deep blacks and subtle highlights, is in generally excellent condition. Visible in raking light, upon very close inspection, are two 1/8-inch vertical surface scratches in the upper left quadrant. The photograph is on a lightly-textured, cream-colored mount.

George Craven was a photographer, author, educator, and close friend of Wynn Bullock.  Craven studied with Clarence White, Jr., at Ohio University, and in 1958 wrote his Master's thesis on 'Group f/64 and its Relation to Straight Photography in America.'
