Description

  • Jaromír Funke
  • composition with perfume bottle
warm-toned, flush-mounted, annotated 'B-' and '3' (circled) in pencil on the reverse, matted, 1920s

Condition

This early, warm-toned print, on matte-surface paper, is in generally very good to excellent condition. There is minor wear at the edges of the print, with tiny emulsion loss. Some light silvering is visible in the darkest areas, primarily at the periphery. When examined in high raking light, some very faint, small scratches and extremely minor scuffing are visible on the print's surface. Two small deposits of original retouching are visible at the lower right corner. None of these are readily apparent in normal viewing conditions and do not detract from the attractiveness of the print in any way.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
