Condition

This early bromide print, warm-toned and printed slightly askew on beige matte-surface textured paper, is in generally excellent condition. The print has a range of gray tones, and the black negative edges show at three sides--left, right, and bottom. There is very slight edge wear, and the margins are slightly soiled. A very small rust-colored deposit of indeterminate nature is at the top center margin edge. The accompanying signed mat is lightly soiled and age-darkened. The reverse of the original slick gray mount is lightly soiled, and there are four spots of adhesive remains, likely where another label might have been affixed. There is wear at the edges, and the corners are bumped and creased.
