Condition

This print is in generally excellent condition. There is a tiny nick at the left edge. The mount is age-darkened at the periphery, and there is faint, occasional foxing on the lower left of the mount that does not intrude upon the print. Karen Haas's and Rebecca Senf's book, 'Ansel Adams in the Lane Collection,' publishes the most comprehensive list to date of the studio stamps and labels Adams used throughout his career. Our dating of this print is based upon the authors' assessment of the use dates of stamps 7 and 8 on the reverse of this print, 1963 to 1973. The fact that this is mounted on Hi-Art illustration board and is signed by the photographer in ink indicates that this print was likely made in the 1960s.
