Condition

This early print, on double-weight, slightly matte paper, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, three small deposits of what appear to be original retouching are visible in the lower left quadrant just to the left of the last hanging shirt, as well as faint silvering in the darkest areas of the print. The photograph is not centered on the mount, which is unevenly trimmed. The mount is illustration board that is cream-colored on the front and dark gray on the back. The front of the mount is lightly age-darkened, the corners are bumped, and the edges are worn. The back of the mount is annotated 'Box 30,' 'XIV,' 'B472' (crossed out), '#1225,' and 'T2 17073/10' in unidentified hands in pencil. When examined with a black light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
