Questo piatto, dipinto a gran fuoco "a chinesi colorati", secondo la denominazione dell'inventario dela manifattura dal 1788, si ispira al repertorio iconografico delle incisioni dell'epoca e in particolare alla serie delle Diverses figures chinoises incise da François Boneliere, su disegno di Antoine Wattean, a Parigi ne 1731.
