Chilean-born Alfredo Jaar has worked in a variety of media, including film. The lightbox presentation, as used here, enriches the aesthetic beauty of the images, which makes them seductively compelling. The subject here is the statuary which stand atop the colonnades framing St. Peter's Square in the Vatican.
