The work is inscribed on an label attached to the reverse: "Look", said Miss Carter, "There's ivy growing up that tree, shall we gather some now and take it back to Grandma", "No," said Mr Taylor (the Bank Manager) "we'll come first thing tomorrow morning, we'll soon be decorated in time for Christmas". Ivy made a beauitiful decoration, but George found something really astonishing, the moon had fallen into the little pond, mother saw him in time, before he fell into the water, "But I only wanted to take it home and hang it on the Tree", he cried, and it was Christmas, 1907.
