Sotheby’s Wine is proud to present the last auction of the fall season with a two-day celebration of the Finest and Rarest wines. Day 1 opens with a special Exceptional Bordeaux from the Cellar of a Bronfman Family Member. Highlights include Bordeaux bottles and magnums featuring parcel quantities of perfectly stored Bordeaux from both the Right and Left banks with a focus on the incredible 1982, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990 vintages. Rarely does one find such perfect provenance as almost all bottles were purchased as futures, imported by Chateau & Estate and have been lying in exceptional, custom-built private, temperature/humidity-controlled storage ever since. One finds full cases of legends such as 1982 Cheval Blanc, 1986 Lafite Rothschild (bottles and magnums) 1986 Mouton Rothschild, 1989 Petrus,1989 Haut Brion (bottles and magnums) 1989 La Mission Haut Brion (bottles and magnums) and 1990 Latour and 1990 Margaux (bottles and magnums).
Day 2 celebrates the finest collections featuring the greatest producers from world’s best wine regions. The sale leads with extensive collections of left and right bank Bordeaux greats. Mature First Growths figure prominently, with a focus on the 80s and 90s vintages. Representing the right bank are perfectly stored lots of Petrus, Le Pin, and Cheval Blanc. Moving to Burgundy are offerings of DRC, Leroy, and rare Cathiard en magnum. Nearly two decades of Screaming Eagle is offered from a long time mailing list subscriber. Following are California cult legends such as Harlan, Abreu, Sine Qua Non, and Scarecrow. Finally, still moving with the momentum of our Ultimate Whisky sale in London we are offering 11 lots of The Macallan Select Reserve 52 Years Old 1946. Following the ‘46 Macallan parcels is the Macallan 50 year Millennium Decanter and Suntory’s The Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary.
