We are delighted to announce our annual Master Sculpture&nbsp;&amp; Works of Art auction in New York which will take place on 7 February and is entirely dedicated to European Sculpture and objects, ranging from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Featuring a wide variety of materials and techniques in three dimensions, the auction presents an opportunity to discover fresh-to-the-market works in bronze, terracotta, wood and marble, as well as Neoclassical cameos and intaglios. The fine offering of Italian Renaissance ceramics- - maiolica and palissy-wares - - includes pieces formerly in the renowned Rothschild collection. This ensemble is further highlighted by a rare 12th-century Mosan bronze depicting&nbsp;an Evangelist writing at his desk&nbsp;previously from the Oettingen-Wallerstein collection, an important 13th&nbsp;century&nbsp;Limoges&nbsp;champlevé&nbsp;enamel eucharistic dove from the collection of Ernst Boehlen and a fine German Gothic wood figure of Christ from the circle of Hans Leinberger. This group is complemented by a plaster bust of Benjamin Franklin from the workshop of Jean-Antoine Houdon formerly in the collection of Percy Rockefeller. Sale Number: N11710
