Join Us for Ferrari’s 70th Anniversary Celebration in NYC

NEW YORK – RM Sotheby’s is thrilled to announce our partnership with Ferrari in hosting a celebration of the company’s 70th anniversary this October in New York City. On 7–8 October, Sotheby’s global headquarters in Manhattan will display ten iconic Ferraris, hand selected by the marque to showcase 70 years of history, development and success. The viewing will be open to the public and is part of a larger weekend celebration in which additional Ferrari models will be placed in locations around the city. 

The collaboration will see RM Sotheby’s – the leader in the market for Ferraris at auction – join in the international yearlong festivities. RM has successfully sold more Ferraris than any other auction house and proudly holds the record for five of the top ten most valuable Ferraris ever offered for public sale. RM Sotheby’s and Ferrari have come together on numerous occasions in the past, including the 2007–09 record-setting ‘Leggenda e Passione’ auctions held at the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. 

The partnership has extended to several events throughout this anniversary year, including an exclusive auction this September in Maranello, the spiritual home of the marque. Held 9 September at the Ferrari Factory, the auction brought together a curated selection of Ferrari memorabilia, extraordinary timepieces and some of the greatest sports, GT and racing Ferraris ever built. Auction records were set for both a new car sold at auction and the most valuable 21st century car. All cars in the sale were sold with certification from the lauded Ferrari Classiche Department. The strength of Sotheby’s partnership with Ferrari was reinforced by the charity auction of a unique LaFerrari Aperta, which achieved over $10 million to benefit Save the Children.

Visitors can explore the collection of Ferrari vehicles across the display locations and learn each model’s story. By sharing images and experiences on social media a chance to win is earned for one of 70 quintessential Ferrari experiences ranging from Ferrari F1 Paddock Club passes, to being a Ferrari team insider at the 24 hours in Daytona, to a live test drive of one of our latest road cars.  

To participate on October 7th or 8th, visit the vehicle displays, check-in and share images using the event’s mobile web app at www.ferrari70nyc.com. Contestants who check-in at all four locations and post at least one photo from each location will be entered into the contest.
