O ne of Sotheby’s auctioneers will be presiding over a charity auction celebrating 250 years of London’s premier embroidery house Hand & Lock on 6 December.
The auction will feature 13 one of a kind hand embroidered designer bags produced by Hand & Lock in cooperation with a variety of designers including Aspinal of London, Asprey, Lulu Guinness and Vivienne Westwood.
The dinner and auction will benefit two charities that support craftsmanship and design, The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) and the annual H&L Prize for Embroidery.
As part of the evening’s entertainment, QEST will provide scholars to demonstrate the specialist skills the charity works tirelessly to help preserve and maintain.
Guests are invited to arrive at London’s prestigious Draper’s Hall between 19.00 and 19.30 with the evening’s festivities commencing at 19.30 with a champagne and canapé reception. Guests will then sit down to a specially prepared three course meal in the spectacular Livery Hall. All attendees will receive a selection of memorable VIP gifts from our sponsors and supporters.
