Biography
Marine de Cenival joins Sotheby's in 2022, coordinating major Paris collections such as the Hôtel Lambert, une collection princière, the Guerrand Hermès collection and Napoléon, une collection Historique. She has responbility for organizing the process of the sales with all the other departments at Sotheby's in Paris and all around the world. She is coordinating the Paris Classic sales with the decorative arts departments (Furniture, silver, gold boxes, porcelain and memorabilia).
As a silver expert for more than 25 years, Marine de Cenival is also head of the Silver departement, expertising, valuing and cataloguing the silver items presented in the Paris. As part of the International silver team, she takes part with the international valuations in Europe and is a senior expert for various sales, such as the Baron and Baronne de Giey's collection in London in 2025 and the silver collection of Manny Davidson in Paris in 2025.
Prior to joining Sotheby's, Marine de Cenival was a silver specialist in an international auction house and an independent expert at Drouot. She earned a Master at the Ecole du Louvre and is also a professional lecturer for French museums such as the musée du Louvre and the château de Versailles.
