Brad Bentoff is Vice President and senior member of the Sotheby’s Private Client Group. Since joining the company in 1993, he has been a major contributor to the global expansion of Sotheby’s business development programs. Mr. Bentoff works with Sotheby’s clients in every category worldwide on both the purchasing and consigning part of the auctions as well as with private treaty sales.  He has been responsible for several major consignments throughout his career at Sotheby’s. While involved in every major collecting category and auction, Mr. Bentoff works particularly close with the Impressionist and Modern Art, Contemporary Art and American Art departments. In addition, he has specific expertise and an extensive background in American, English and French Furniture.

As one of Sotheby’s most senior auctioneers, he has been involved in several high profile auctions such as the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis sales, the sales of Johnny Cash, Katherine Hepburn, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and the Collection of Lilly and Edmund Safra.  He is a frequent auctioneer volunteering his time for charity events.

Mr. Bentoff graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990 and attended the Sotheby’s Institute in London focusing on the 17th and 18th Century Decorative Arts.
