Sotheby’s is honoured to present Legends from Château Lafite | The Collection of a Rothschild Family Member | From Private and Ex-Château Cellars — an unprecedented sale offering treasures spanning more than a century of winemaking excellence from one of the world’s most revered estates and an illustrious family. This collection is drawn from two exceptional cellars belonging to the same member of the Rothschild family — the private cellar of the collector in France and from the historic cellars of Château Lafite, where bottles have lain undisturbed for more than 150 years. Legends from Château Lafite | The Collection of a Rothschild Family Member | From Private and Ex-Château Cellars will open online on 17 November and culminate in a live auction at Sotheby’s Paris “La Cave” on Monday, 1 December at 3PM CET, (9 AM NYC, 9PM Hong Kong) with bidding available in person, by telephone, and online.
