This psychological drama was directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, and written by Guillermo Arriaga. The cast includes Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. This is the final film in Arriaga's and Iñárritu's Death Trilogy. In this concluding film multiple stories take place in a non-linear time span in Morocco, Japan, Mexico and the US, each location focussing on different characters. González Iñárritu won the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival. The film won Best Film at the Golden Globe Awards, and received seven Academy Award nominations, with Gustavo Santaolalla winning Best Original Score.
