A white jade 'chrysanthemum and nandina' dish
Qing dynasty, 18th century
清十八世紀 白玉雕「壽疊年年」圖盤
of circular form with shallow rounded sides, the interior carved in raised relief with a sprig of chrysanthemum and a bough of nandina berries on a leafy stalk, set with a large butterfly in flight above, all supported on a low circular foot, the stone of creamy tone with a few scattered pale russet patches and veins along with icy inclusions
