rectangular on paw feet, chased with scrolling foliage and musical motifs in neo-classical taste, the top with an oval enamel plaque, Geneva, circa 1840, painted with Apollo and his lute, the sides with smaller plaques, painted by a different hand with musical instruments, the interior revealing a circular enamel panel with coloured gold automaton figures of a putto helped by his mother to dance to the music of a lute player, circa 1920, beside an associated enamel dial below a rustic view on a rectangular panel, circa 1820, both set into an engine-turned ground
