comprising eight gold pencils, one in its case by Cartier, one made of 14-carat gold by Cartier, two made of 14-carat gold, on made of 18-carat gold, three mechanical pencils, one made of 9-carat gold, the second, France, circa 1830, in its case stamped AR for Alexis Rédé, the third one in silver and silver-gilt, a small gilt-metal and enameled dagger, modern, a silver-plated paperknife, Christofle, Paris, modern, a lacquered pencil decorated with chinoiseries, Pilot, a bronze ballpoint pen insert with gems, a small gold stamp insert with a bloodstone plaque, engraved UP with a Royal crown, circa 1840

The stamp is engraved with King Louis Philippe of the French monogram and crown. Le cachet est gravé du monogramme et de la couronne de Louis-Phillipe Roi des Français.

The gold pencils and the three mechanical pens come from the Alexis Rédé collection, sold, Sotheby's Paris, 17 March 2005, lot 504.
