Introduced in 2009, the Zeitwerk is A. Lange & Söhne's very first mechanical wristwatch featuring a digital time display. It took the brand more than two years to develop this jumping numerals mechanism that makes the rotational date discs jump rather than turning slowly. The symmetrical dial features a time bridge, which as part of the movement, simultaneously constitutes the frame for time indications.
