A very complicated design that was inspired by the Roman amphitheaters, the present Cartier Astrocalendaire is very fascinating wristwatch with an intriguing design. While the attention of most would be initially drawn to the captivating one-minute flying tourbillon finely decorated with a “C” on its bridge emphasizing the brand’s name, the beauty of the watch lies in the layout of the perpetual calendar. Applying a concentrically laid out perpetual calendar, the month, day and date is emphasized by a rotating bracket which offers great legibility that few other watches do.
