A large collection of slides and transparencies with two viewers, 1970s-1980s


six envelopes of slides and transparencies and one box of slides, some attributed to the studios of Mick Rock and Chris Walter, some unattributed

This exceptional collection of slides and transparencies can be dated from the early to mid 1970s into the 1980s. They include rare photos of the band at moments such as being awarded a platinum disc and recording in the studio, shots of individual members, as well as Freddie in his iconic outfit known as 'The Prawn' (lot 224) on the set of 'It's A Hard Life', 1984.


An important section comprises Mick Rock's early shoots with Freddie and the band, including solo photoshoots at Freddie's flat in July and December 1974 and the Queen II photoshoot.
