The Zenith El Primero is one of the most highly regarded chronograph movements ever produced. First introduced in 1969, over 50 years ago, it has been at the forefront of the manufacture since then and has also been used by other brands, such as with the Rolex Daytona, from 1988 to 2000, under the reference 16520.

With the El Primero Chronomaster Open Grande date, Zenith went above and beyond by adding a moon-phase indication and an aperture to admire the balance beating at 36'000 oscillations per hour.

The result is an impressive piece with a well-balanced design. With this present lot, the sport and elegant spirit of the model is further highlighted by the combination of the stainless steel case and the black dial.
