Introduced in 2014, the Élégante collection marked an unconventional chapter in the history of F.P. Journe, reimagining quartz horology through the lens of haute horlogerie. Developed by François-Paul Journe, the model features a patented electro-mechanical movement capable of entering standby mode after inactivity to preserve battery life while maintaining precision.
The present reference ELT Élégante 40, cased in lightweight titanium and enhanced with diamond to the flanks of the case. The tonneau shaped case delivers a bold yet comfortable presence on the wrist, while the muted tone of titanium contrasts beautifully with the diamond-set bezel.
Powered by the innovative calibre 1210, the watch incorporates a motion detector that places the movement into sleep mode after approximately thirty-five minutes of inactivity. Once moved again, the hands automatically reset to the correct time, demonstrating the brands distinctive and innovative approach to modern watchmaking.
Combining advanced engineering with refined gem-setting, the present Élégante 40 stands as one of the most original and technically inventive luxury wristwatches of the modern era. In addition to its F.P. Journe presentation box with outer packaging and Warranty Card, the current lot also includes branded leather tassel, silk scarf, polishing cloth, and notebook.
