Chancery folio (289 x 200mm), 426 leaves, [a–y10 z8 A B10 C12 D–S10 T6 V10], 39 lines, gothic type, initials supplied in red or blue, red manuscript headlines, early seventeenth-century German stamped calf over wooden boards, traces of two pairs of clasps, occasional light damp-staining, rebacked retaining most of original spine


A TALL CRISP COPY of Berchorius's dictionary of Biblical words with his moral observations. This is the first issue, according to the setting of the text on the final leaf.
