The Rolex reference 6239 was the first Rolex chronograph wristwatch to feature 'Cosmograph' on the dial. Introduced in 1963, the reference was in production for 6 years until it was replaced by the 6262. The present watch is well preserved with a very crisp case. The 'Sigma' dial which is distinguished by the sigma symbol at 6 o'clock is from a slightly later period than the watch which was made circa 1967.
