The Rolex reference 1680 was launched in the late 1960s as the first Submariner featuring a date aperture.
The present model is an early Red Submariner featuring a MK II, meters first dial. It is distinguished by the red printing over white, thinner white font with open 6s, and a long well defined F in ft. This early Mark II dial is further enhanced with subtle and even aging, creating a warm brown tone throughout.
