The accompanying Breguet certificate records that this watch was specially adjusted and regulated with the intention of obtaining an Observatory Certificate, although it is unclear whether it was ultimately entered into trials. The presence of a Guillaume balance and the fact that it was adjusted for trial nevertheless attest to the quality of its production. The watch was completed on 8 June 1940 and sold five months later, on 8 November. The Breguet Archives further note that it was last returned to the Maison for service in 1959.
