Attractive engraving by renowned printer Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi (1627-1691) of the Battle of Mohács, which took place on the 12th August 1687 between the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed IV and the Holy Roman Emperor, Leopold I. The event, a pivotal moment during the Great Turkish War, resulted in a devastating loss for the Ottoman Turks, and the conquest of Hungary and Transylvania for the Habsburgs.
